Can you be a Cinderella a year after going to the Elite Eight? A story today lists the Flyers on the list of potential Cinderellas in this year’s tournament.

Considering they have seven guys and a short lineup, I guess the Flyers belong on this list. They’ll be tournament darlings again if they make the big dance and create any sort of noise in March Madness.

From Reid Fograve:

The fact that Archie has his team where it is now, at the top of the A-10 and positioned for a decent seed in the NCAA tournament, is a testament to why the fourth-year head coach is considered one of the rising stars in his profession. He’s milked the most out of his small lineup, with stellar perimeter defense (14th in nation in 3-point defense) making this group overachieve (23rd in defensive efficiency). The Flyers once again have the look of one of the best-coached teams in the nation.

It’s also interesting to see Bowling Green on Fograve’s list. Dayton beat Bowling Green 56-52 in their last victory before the December Dismissals. The Falcons are now 17-6 and ranked 53rd in the RPI.
