Ken Pomeroy, who runs the advanced analysis website KenPom.com, gives Dayton a 21.6 percent chance of winning the Atlantic 10 tournament.
Pomeroy gives regular-season champion Davidson a 32 percent chance and writes on his blog:
Davidson rolls into the Barclays Center having won nine in a row, earning sole possession of the regular-season crown in one of the biggest surprises this season. They were picked to finish 12th in the league in the preseason. In their first year in the Atlantic 10, the Wildcats were expected to struggle, but maybe the idea needs to die that there’s some additional challenge of moving to a better conference.
Pomeroy also named a five-man All-A-10 team and named two Flyers to the list: Tyler Kalinoski, Davidson (kPOY); Treveon Graham, VCU; Dyshawn Pierre, Dayton; Jordan Sibert, Dayton; E.C. Matthews, Rhode Island.
