1 removed from truck, taken to hospital via CareFlight in Huber Heights crash

CareFligh transported a person to the hospital after they were rescued from a pickup truck involved in a crash in Huber Heights Monday morning.

The crash was reported on state Route 235/state Route 4 in Huber Heights near New Carlisle Pike.

When crews arrived they found a truck crashed into the back of a large excavating truck. The driver of the pickup truck was pinned between the steering wheel/dashboard and the sear, according to Huber Heights Fire Division.

The driver was extricated from the truck and taken to the hospital by CareFlight. The driver’s injuries were determined to be minor, according to police.

Both southbound lanes were temporarily closed from Interstate 70 to Chambersburg Road.
